This is a register and privacy statement in accordance with the Lingsoft website's Personal Data Act (sections 10 and 24) and the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
 
This leaflet explains what kind of personal data Lingsoft can collect when you contact Lingsoft through the customer portal. By using the order forms on the website, you agree to the processing of your data in accordance with this privacy statement.

Lingsoft may occasionally amend this privacy statement by publishing a new version of it on its website, for example as its online services, information systems or legislation changes.

4. Legal basis and purpose of processing personal data
The register is maintained to store offer requests and work orders. The legal basis for the processing of personal data under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation is the consent of the person when the order form is saved.
Personal data is used in the early stages of a customer relationship to obtain basic information, and in the order-delivery phase, to communicate and exchange data with customers.
Customer data is also used to maintain customer relationships at other times.

Basic information provided by the customer: name, telephone number, e-mail address, company
Basic information of the invitation to tender and its file attachments.
Basic information about the language service subscription and its file attachments.
Discussion and customer feedback related to language service subscriptions.
The data in the register is stored as required by the legislation in force.
6. Regular data sources
Personal data in the register is primarily collected from the registered person. Personal data can be supplemented and updated from the controller's own information systems, the Population Information System, credit registers and other public or private registers and data sources providing similar information services as well as from the controller's partners.
7. Regular disclosure of data and transfer of data outside the EU or the EEA
Only designated persons process the data and are not disclosed outside the Lingsoft Group. The controller may disclose data to the authorities within the limits permitted and obligated by the legislation in force. Data are not transferred outside the EU or the EEA.
8. Principles of register protection
Lingsoft only records the information needed in the order-delivery process. The controller shall ensure that only those persons of the controller have access to the data for which it is necessary for the performance of their duties. The confidentiality obligation of persons processing personal data is laid down in employment or subcontracting agreements. Lingsoft has controlled and restricted access to its premises.
A user ID and the associated strong password are required to access the register data. The Lingsoft network is protected by a firewall and an intrusion detection system. Workstations have anti-virus protection, and all e-mail traffic flows through anti-virus protection. Direct access to the registry database is limited to technical maintenance, which requires necessary system installation or problem resolution measures.
9. Right of access and right to request rectification
Every person in the register has the right to check or update their data stored in the register and to demand that any incorrect data be corrected or that incomplete data be supplemented.
 
If a person wants to check the information stored in the Lingsoft language service order register or request rectification, the request must be sent in writing to tietosuoja [at] lingsoft.fi. Where appropriate, the controller may request the applicant to prove his or her identity. The controller is responsible to the customer within the time limit laid down in the EU GDPR (within a month).
 
10. Other rights related to the processing of personal data
A person in the register has the right to request that personal data concerning him or her be removed from the register. The data subjects also have other rights under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, such as restricting the processing of personal data.
 
Requests concerning the register of recruitment data must be sent in writing to tietosuoja[at]lingsoft.fi. Where appropriate, the controller may request the applicant to prove his or her identity. The controller is responsible to the customer within the time limit laid down in the EU GDPR (within a month).
